Son Mesquidassa, a company belonging to Grup Rosselló, continues to strengthen its commitment to its own production and locally sourced products with the planting of 90,000 Koroneiki olive trees at the Son Vivot estate, in the municipality of Inca. Covering an area of 60 hectares, the project represents another step in the group’s strategy to strengthen local agricultural production.
This investment reflects Grup Rosselló’s commitment to increasing the amount of its own raw materials, ensuring full control over the entire process, from cultivation to the production of extra virgin olive oil, while consolidating a model based on quality, sustainability and strong ties to the local area.
In addition to the Koroneiki variety, renowned for its excellent potential for producing high-quality olive oils, several experimental varieties have also been planted at Son Vivot. These plantations will allow the group to continue researching new crops and production techniques in order to adapt to climate challenges and drive further innovation.
With this new estate, Grup Rosselló reaffirms its commitment to Mallorcan agriculture, the preservation of the landscape and a zero-kilometre food production model, creating added value for the local area and contributing to a better future for agriculture in Mallorca.
